Contact Us
We are a small team building free tools for real people with real work to get done. If something is broken, if you have an idea for a new tool, if you found a clever use case we never thought of, or if you just want to say hi—we actually read messages and respond. This is not a black hole contact form that disappears into corporate bureaucracy. Emails go to people who built this site and care about making it useful.
Why You Might Want to Contact Us
Thank you for considering reaching out to iloveutil. We built these tools because we needed them ourselves and figured others might find them useful too. Your feedback directly shapes what we build next and how we improve existing tools. Here is why people typically contact us, and why we are happy to hear from you:
Maybe you found a bug—some edge case where a tool does not work right, or produces unexpected output. Those reports are incredibly valuable because we cannot test every possible scenario. Or maybe you have been using a tool regularly and thought "it would be great if it could also do this one extra thing." That feedback often turns into features we add.
You might be wondering if a specific use case is allowed, or have questions about how the privacy model works, or want to know why we made certain design decisions. Or perhaps you are interested in some kind of business relationship—advertising, partnerships, integration possibilities. We are open to conversations about how iloveutil can work with other projects or businesses, as long as it aligns with our mission of providing free, privacy-focused tools.
Sometimes people just want to share a story about how a tool helped them meet a deadline, or solved a problem they had been struggling with, or made their workflow easier. Those messages make our day. Building free tools is mostly a labor of love, and knowing that people find them genuinely useful keeps us motivated to maintain and improve the site.

We typically respond within 2-3 business days. Please allow extra time during holidays or high-volume periods.
What Can You Contact Us About?
Honestly, pretty much anything related to the site. But here are the most common categories and what helps us respond effectively:
🐛 Tool Issues & Bug Reports
Found a bug or experiencing technical issues with one of our tools? This is really helpful for us to hear about. The more specific you can be, the faster we can reproduce and fix the issue.
What helps: Tool name, what you were trying to do, what happened instead, browser and OS, any error messages, whether it happens consistently or intermittently. If possible, describe the steps to reproduce the issue. For example: "I tried to compress a 5MB PNG image in Chrome on Windows 11, and instead of downloading the compressed image, nothing happened and the browser console showed XYZ error."
💡 Feedback & Suggestions
Have an idea for improving an existing tool or a suggestion for a new tool we should add? We love hearing these. Many of our current tools started as suggestions from users who needed something specific.
What helps: Describe the problem you are trying to solve and why existing tools do not quite meet your needs. For new tool ideas, explain the use case and who else might benefit. For improvement suggestions, tell us what workflow you are trying to accomplish and where the current tool falls short. The more context you provide about your actual needs, the better we can evaluate whether and how to implement suggestions.
🤝 Business & Partnership Inquiries
Interested in collaborating, exploring advertising opportunities, discussing API access, or proposing business partnerships? We are open to conversations, though we are selective about what aligns with our mission of keeping tools free and privacy-focused.
What helps: Explain what you have in mind and what value it provides to both parties. Be specific about your proposal rather than vague "let us chat about opportunities" messages. We are more likely to respond positively to concrete ideas that respect our privacy-first approach and do not interfere with the free availability of tools.
⚖️ Copyright & Legal Concerns
If you believe any content on iloveutil infringes your copyright, raises legal concerns, or violates your intellectual property rights, please contact us with detailed information. We take these matters seriously and will respond promptly.
What helps: Specific URLs of the allegedly infringing content, proof of ownership or authorization to act on behalf of the rights holder, description of the copyrighted work, and your contact information. For legal notices, include any documentation that supports your claim. We will investigate and respond according to applicable law.
❓ General Questions
Have questions about how our tools work, privacy practices, technical architecture, whether a specific use case is allowed, or anything else? Feel free to ask. We would rather answer questions than have people confused or worried.
What helps: Check the Privacy Policy,Terms & Conditions, and About pages first—they answer many common questions. But if something is still unclear or you have a specific scenario in mind, ask away. We prefer to clarify rather than leave people uncertain.

Frequently Asked Questions About Contacting Us
How quickly will you respond to my message?
We aim to respond within 2-3 business days for most inquiries. Bug reports we try to address faster, especially if they affect a lot of people. Feature requests and general questions might take a bit longer depending on what is involved. Complex technical issues or partnership discussions could require more time to investigate or consider properly. We read every message, though, even if our response takes a few days.
Will you actually implement feature suggestions I send?
Maybe! We cannot promise to build every suggestion, but we genuinely consider them. Many current tools started as user requests. We prioritize based on how many people would benefit, how well it fits with our existing tools, technical feasibility, and development time required. If we decide not to implement something, it is usually because it is too niche, too complex for browser-based processing, or better handled by specialized software. But even if we do not build your exact suggestion, the feedback helps us understand what users need.
Can I request custom development or paid features?
We do not currently offer custom development services or paid feature prioritization. Our focus is on building free tools that benefit everyone, not creating bespoke solutions for individual clients. If you have a business need that requires custom functionality, you might be better served by hiring a developer to build something specific to your requirements. However, if your need represents a common use case that many people would find valuable, suggest it as a feature request and we might build it into the site.
Do you provide technical support for using your tools?
Sort of. We can explain how a tool works, clarify what features are available, help troubleshoot why something might not be working for you, and provide guidance on best practices. What we cannot do is provide extensive hand-holding for basic computer tasks, teach you how to use your browser, or debug issues with your specific files that are unrelated to our tools. These are free utilities, not a paid support service. But if you have a reasonable question and explain your situation clearly, we will do our best to help.
Can you help me with a file I processed incorrectly?
Unfortunately no. Because all processing happens in your browser and we never see your files, we cannot recover originals or undo operations. If you compressed an image too much, merged PDFs in the wrong order, or accidentally deleted data, we have no way to help because the files never reached our servers. This is a trade-off of the privacy model—your files stay completely private, but we also cannot assist with mistakes. Always keep backups of important files before processing them.
What information should I include when reporting a bug?
The more details you provide, the easier it is for us to reproduce and fix the issue. Include: (1) Which tool you were using, (2) What you were trying to do, (3) What actually happened, (4) Your browser and operating system, (5) Any error messages you saw, (6) Whether it happens every time or only sometimes. If you know how to use browser developer tools, console errors are extremely helpful. You do not need to send us your actual files—just describe the file type and size. For example: "Tried to merge two PDF files (8MB and 12MB) in Firefox 120 on macOS, and after clicking merge nothing happened. Console shows 'RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded'."
Are you interested in guest posts or link exchanges?
Generally no. We occasionally link to useful external resources when they genuinely help users, but we do not do reciprocal link exchanges, paid links, or guest posts as part of SEO schemes. If you have something genuinely useful and relevant to our audience, you can mention it, but understand that we are selective and most such proposals are not a good fit. We focus on building and documenting our own tools rather than hosting external content.
Can I report spam or abuse happening through your tools?
If you believe someone is using iloveutil tools for spam, abuse, or illegal activity, you can report it to us. However, because our tools process everything client-side in users' browsers, we have no visibility into what people are actually doing with them. We cannot monitor usage or track specific users. If the abuse involves content hosted on our site itself (like in comments or uploaded files—which we do not have), then we can investigate. But if it is about someone using our PDF merger to create spam documents on their own computer, there is nothing we can do because we never see those files.
Response Time
We strive to respond to all messages within 2-3 business days. This is not an automated system or a customer support department with dozens of agents—it is a small team managing a free service alongside other responsibilities. Most messages get responses within this timeframe, some faster if they are urgent bug reports affecting many users.
Complex inquiries or technical issues may require additional time to investigate thoroughly. If your question needs us to reproduce a bug, research technical details, or think through implications of a feature request, it might take longer. Partnership proposals often require more consideration than a quick yes or no. Legal matters get handled carefully rather than hastily.
During holidays, vacation periods, or if we are dealing with a major site issue, response times might be slower. We are not a 24/7 operation. But rest assured, we read every message and will get back to you as soon as we can. If something is genuinely urgent and time-sensitive, mention that in your message—though understand that "urgent" for a free tool is different than urgent for a paid service with SLAs.
Before You Contact Us
To help us assist you more quickly and avoid back-and-forth clarification, please consider these suggestions:
- Check existing documentation first: Many common questions are answered on tool pages, the About page, Privacy Policy, or Terms & Conditions. If you are wondering how browser-based processing works, how we make money, what data we collect, or what uses are permitted, those pages likely have your answer already written out in detail.
- Be specific about technical issues: Instead of "the tool is broken," tell us which tool, what browser and OS you are using, what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and any error messages. The more details you provide, the faster we can reproduce and fix the problem. Vague reports are hard to act on.
- Explain the context for suggestions: When proposing a new tool or feature, describe the problem you are trying to solve and why existing tools do not meet your needs. "Add a QR code generator" is less helpful than "I frequently need to create QR codes for website URLs as part of my marketing work, and having a simple tool that lets me paste a URL and download a QR image would save me from using multiple sites." Context helps us prioritize.
- Use a clear subject line or opening: If you are emailing, a descriptive subject line helps us understand your message at a glance. "Bug: PDF Merger crashes with large files" is better than "Problem." Similarly, start your message with a clear statement of what you need: bug report, feature request, question, partnership inquiry, etc.
- One topic per message works best: If you have multiple unrelated things to discuss—a bug report and a feature request and a partnership idea—consider sending separate messages. This makes it easier for us to track and respond to each issue appropriately rather than writing one long reply that tries to address everything.
